The Science Citation Index Expanded is a multidisciplinary database, with searchable author abstracts, covering the journal literature of the sciences. It indexes more than 5,700 major journals across 164 scientific disciplines, covering approximately 2,100 more journals than its SCI print and CD-ROM counterparts, with all cited references captured. Cited reference searching lets you use a given work as if it were a subject term to identify more recent articles on the same topic. As of January 1991, contains searchable, full-length, English-language author abstracts for approximately 70% of the articles in the database.
